Short-winged Cone-head	Conocephalus dorsalis.	1837	Extinct resident.
[Speckled Bush-cricket	Leptophyes punctatissima.	1949	Noted only from Thorne].
Bog Bush-cricket	Metrioptera brachyptera.	1837-2007	Frequent resident. Brown form rhaetorum recorded.
House-cricket	Acheta domesticus.	1944-(1954)	Formerly encountered peripherally and synanthropically.
Mole-cricket	Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa.	1950s	One specimen found.
Common Ground-hopper	Tetrix undulata.	1969-2008	Common and widespread resident.
Slender Ground-hopper	T. subulata.	1837-2002	Recorded in 1837 and from 2000.
Lesser Marsh Grasshopper	Chorthippus albomarginatus.	1837-1975	Recorded in 1837 and 1975, the latter at Thorne Colliery.
Meadow Grasshopper	C. parallelus.	1890-1995	Rare and irregular resident.
Field Grasshopper	C. brunneus.	1946-2008	Widespread and frequent resident.
Mottled Grasshopper	Myrmeleotettix maculatus.	1837-2002	Uncommon and localised resident.
[Woodland Grasshopper	Omocestus rufipes.	1891	Reported in error].
Common Green Grasshopper	O. viridulus.	1946-96	Rare, with only three specimens known 1973-96.
Dermaptera
Common Earwig	Forficula auricularia.	1969–2007	Common and widespread resident.
