The OS maps covering the area of the moors unfortunately lack many of the place and area names which are in common usage, and are used in recording. Two maps have been prepared to address the situation.
A new map of Hatfield Moors has been commissioned following extensive consultations to decide on the names and extents of the areas to be used to record species in future. The map is reproduced at A3 size with an OS map on the reverse to give an overview of the location of Hatfield Moors in the surrounding countryside.

Copies of this map can be obtained from members of the Forum for a nominal charge of 60p, or alternatively to order copies by post please either send a cheque for £1, or two second class stamps plus an S.A.E. (the folded size of the map measures 7cm x 15cm).
